Egypt's Ban on Vodafone

Vodafone, one of the world's best communication and mobile phone company, blames Egypt Government of using their networks to send pro-Government text messages without the permission of the company.

Last week, Vodafone was asked to switch off its services all around the country to prevent the upcoming protests against Hosni Mubarak. But, later on, the authorities ordered the company to switch on the services. So, they could send pro-Government text messages to the people.

In a report, "These messages are unacceptable." said Vodafone. "None of these messages are scripted by the company and we do not have any right to respond to the authorities." the company stated.
