New Prime Minister of Jordan: Marouf Bakhit

King Abdullah of Jordan has dismissed his cabinet. In the middle of the protests, he appointed a new prime minister, Marouf Bakhit.
The new Prime Minister Marouf Bakhit is responsible of making true political reforms. On the other hand, Islamists rejected the appointment of Marouf Bakhit as new Prime Minister.

     What the protesters wanted were the right to elect the Prime Minister, action on unemployment and increasing prices. According to them the ex-Prime Minister was responsible for economical problems. So, they wanted him to resign. The resignation of ex-Prime Minister Rifai was accepted by the King on Tuesday. As observed, these steps were taken in order to prevent upcoming events and decrease rising tension like of that in Tunisia and Egypt. 
    The mission of the new Prime Minister is to make true political reforms and ensure a democratic life for all Jordians. As it was also stated by the palace, a quick reform is necessary in Jordan for people to participate in the political decision-making process of their country.
